The week in photos – Thirty Five

Greetings from Bangkok!

I’m currently waiting in the hostel lobby with a few minutes to spare before I leave for Saigon again. I’ve spent the past week in Thailand for Loy Krathong in Chiang Mai and a spot of golf and dinner with friends in Bangkok and just some relaxing all round. It pretty much rained in Chiang Mai most of the time that I was there but I managed to check out the town, Doi Suthep, work out of a few nice cafes and enjoy the Loy Krathong festivities on my final night there. There’s  a pretty cool expat and entrepreneurial vibe happening over there and there are tonnes of cafes and works innovative work spaces that cater for those working remotely.

I’ve come to really enjoy Bangkok as a city where I can kick back in the modern comforts, air conditioned malls and cheap massages. If it wasn’t for the persistent steamy weather, I’d probably have moved here by now. I played my first round of golf in over two years at a pretty swanky country club this weekend. Despite the four blisters that broke out on my hands, I managed to shoot 83.

No major plans for the coming week. I’m just going to settle back into Saigon and start working on a business idea that’s been occupying my brain space for a while now. Also I’m looking forward to continuing my banh mi quest which you can stay up to date with on my Facebook page.

Hope you enjoy this weeks photos. As usual, let me know which ones you like the most.

The Thai people know how to make a mean street side omelette. I must have had at least three in four days.

The only blue sky day I had in Chiang Mai was the first day full day that I was there. Lucky I made good use of it.
