Greetings from Siem Reap! After spending over two weeks in Phnom Penh, I’ve moved on to the northern part of Cambodia where I’ll spend a week until I move on to Laos. I broke up my time in Phnom Penh with a trip to the coastal region along the south. There I spent time lazing around on Otres Beach, exploring Koh Rong Island and finished it off with epic crab eating sessions in Kep and Kampot.
This week’s photo theme “Beach Life” captures those moments from my time near the beach. Hope you enjoy!
My first sunset on Otres Beach. Everyday it would be like this. Perfect
On the way to Koh Rong, we stopped at Koh Rong Samloem for lunch. I was wondering why I didn’t plan on spending more time on this beach instead. It was quite spectacular.
After a 50 minute hike through the woods to the other side of Koh Rong, I reached Long Beach. A larger and quieter beach where you coudl catch the setting sun.
Enjoying the sunset views from the roof of the slow ferry back to Sihanoukville
This kid doesn’t look too happy having to haul in the crab pots at the crab market
Having a break from work at the crab market to gossip
Sunset drinks at Kep Sailing Club. It was Valentines Day and a table was set at the end of the pier for a special dinner.
Sunset drinks on the rooftop of Tich’s Guesthouse watching the fishing boats head out to sea for the evening.
Which photo do you think best captures this week’s theme of “Beach Life”?
