This week photos – “Active Life”

I’m currently in Otres Beach, just outside the tourist town of tourist town of Sihanoukville along the southern Cambodian coast. Although I am not loving it here, I’m enjoying the slow pace in this (literally) tiny town, watching the sunsets, sipping on a few beers and working on a few projects and have done an overnight stay on Koh Rong Island about two hours off the coast.

I hope you enjoyed last week’s “Waiting” photos. This week I I’ve gone the opposite direction and themed it as “Active Life”.  I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the number of people who are active in Phnom Penh. When the afternoon sun abates and temperatures cool down, groups of people young and old hit the public spaces, don their exercise flip flops or sneakers and participate in whatever that raises the heart beat. Whether it be kicking the hacky sack or busting out some moves to the high NRG aerobics classes. It’s a genius way of cheap exercise, hanging out with friends and grabbing some cheap eats afterwards.

Tomorrow I’m off to the coastal towns Kep and Kampot over the long weekend for some seafood and load up on the world famous Kampot Pepper

  1. How impressive indeed, all that active energy and physical movement is! It makes me at least consider doing something more than just lifting vino and gourmet food to my mouth! Smiles. Beautiful photos – the vibrant dancers/costumes being my favorite. So very alive, and just fabulous! Great post! Cheers!
