The Old and The New in The Rocks

The Rocks, Sydney

The Rocks, Sydney

I’m currently spending time living with friends while I am homeless. I had some time to myself last Sunday afternoon when I couldn’t get back into where I was staying. Luckily I had my camera with me, so I decided to walk from the north side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (pictured) over to The Rocks next to Circular Quay.

This shot was taken from the Cahill Expressway. Splitting the photo is George Street. Lining the left side of the street are retail outlets and historical pubs where I’ve consumed many pints. They occupy buildings that are well over a hundred and fifty years old. To the right is the newly renovated MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art).
